If you’re following along, I am still working on two more articles in the dating series! However, I wanted to get some feedback from men as I was writing the article geared toward women. That is taking a little extra time. I’m thankful that of the men I asked, none of them have just given me a quick answer. Two wanted to talk about it in real time. Two asked for more time to give a more thorough written answer. The one who did send me a quick email response, then followed up with an email with a full rewrite because he wanted to be more positive. You know who you are. 😉 It can be a hard subject to talk about, with a lot of hurt. In short, I’m thankful this is actually becoming more of a conversation. Please join in! Whether it’s through internet interactions or talking in person.

It is an allegory of sorts. After writing one, I now know why some of the great authors (including Tolkien, one of the writers who makes me want to write) disliked the genre. It’s hard to do well! Despite disliking the genre, Tolkien also wrote a beautiful short allegory called Leaf by Niggle about the creative process and how it related to the physical and spiritual life.
